Established in 2007 by Paul Lee,  our passion in eyewear and eyecare has driven us to provide exceptional service that brought out the difference in our customer experience. With a decade of service, our Sydney CBD Optometry practice, Proview Optical Pitt Street is changing name & relocating!

 

The Eye Piece 

The Eye Piece will provide a new concept in the luxury eyewear market with the core belief that experience bonds the relationship. The Eye Piece boutiques with our global eyewear partners have established shop in shop concept for Chanel, Cartier, Lindberg, Mykita, Oliver Peoples, Moscot & GLCO.

The Eye Piece optometrists will also utilize the latest digital equipment in ensuring the health of your vision. Continuing our service, all our practices will house in-store laboratory allowing 1 hour service.

Our current Sydney CBD optometry practice, Proview Optical Pitt Street has relocated to 244 George Street Sydney & will change name to The Eye Piece.

Our new optometry practice has opened in the leafy suburb of Wahroonga located directly opposite the famous Butcher's Block Cafe.

It is our teams continuing commitment to provide an experience that will set us apart. Our optometrists & optical dispensers look forward to welcoming you soon!

 


Meet the team

CEO

Paul Lee has worked in the optical and high end luxury industry for over 17 years. Mr Lee is the founder of Proview Optical & owner of Proview Optical Pitt Street, Sydney. An entrepreneur at heart, Paul’s extensive work record has seen him operate Porsche Design in Australia as well as owning and run multiple practices. His strong passion for spectacle frames, sunglasses and designer fashion drives him to travel to Europe, Asia and the United States to source and hand select the most exquisite and superior quality frames. Paul always seeks to improve and provide exceptional service to the community and enjoys the relationships he builds in sharing his knowledge with his clients. When not at work Paul enjoys cycling on the weekends and spending time with his kids.

Clinical Optometrist

Dr. Taeyon Kim carries a bachelor of Applied Science in Optometry from the University of Queensland and has been practicing optometry for over 15 years across both corporate and independent practice. Taeyon has a deep passion for personal eyecare and like her husband Paul Lee, has a strong interest in spectacle frames and designer wear. Taeyon’s interest in art and music is clearly reflected through her colourful glasses she wears and her warm friendly nature with her clients. Taeyon and Paul live in the upper North Shore and have two beautiful children that keep them busy when not at work. Taeyon consults at Proview Optical Pitt Street on Mondays.

Principal Clinical Optometrist

Dr Adeline Wong graduated with a Bachelor of Optometry with Honours from the University of NSW and has practiced in independent and corporate practices for the past 15 years. Her strong interest and dedication to good eye health led her to complete a Graduate Diploma in Ocular Therapeutics in 2007.  She strives to provide high levels of care for all her patients, drawing on her deep knowledge and experience with spectacles and contact lenses across a range of eye health conditions.Adeline is a keen baker, loves travelling and enjoys spending her days off with her family.

Senior Dispenser

Chris Dent has been working in the optical industry for over 17 years and specialises in spectacle production, eyewear merchandise and spectacle repairs. His wealth of knowledge around current frame trends and boutique brands allows him to perfectly match facial features, contours and complexions with complimenting frame styles, shapes and colours, bringing out one’s individuality. Chris takes pride in his unsurpassed accuracy when crafting and customising lenses. His attention to detail is unmatched and his passion is always evident in the finished product.

 Senior Dispenser

Sue Hinds brings to The Eye Piece team a lifetimes experience within the optical industry. Commencing with working in her Optometrist fathers practice at the age of 12, her career has included working with paediatric specialist optometrists, boutique optical practices and representing a major lens manufacturer. She also holds a degree in fine art and design which she loves to combine with her technical expertise to create the perfect balance between a patients prescription needs, their comfort and individual style.  Sue is passionate about quality eyecare and eyewear, with a love for building personal care relationships with patients. When not at work, she loves the gym, traveling with her husband, art galleries and time with her dog.
